Our BIOFLY web application is designed to maintain a layered approach to safety by popularizing cutting-edge technologies in biosafety.

By taking our app to airports, we will be able to:

• Demonstrate a safe environment for both: passengers and the airport workforce;
• Enhance passenger flow;
• Test the effectiveness of timely safety measures and procedures;
• Minimize disruption in implementing business recovery and optimize resources.

By taking our app to airlines, we will be able to:

• Reassure the passenger’s confidence;
• Redesign and test safety procedures;
• Analyze airflow patterns and virus dissemination throughout an aircraft cabin;
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders through high-quality videos;
• Promote Public Health and Confidence among Passengers, Aviation Workers, and the General Public.

Based on these guiding considerations, these measures should be:

• Implemented in a multilayer approach proportionate to the risk level and shall not compromise aviation safety and security;
• Beneficial from the sector’s long-standing experience and applicable in the same principles for risk management as a safety and security function. As part of this, the compliance status must be monitored, the effectiveness of the results of measures reviewed at regular intervals, as well as new methods and technologies adopted to address changing needs;
• Enhancing for the public confidence and aviation public health while minimizing negative operational and efficiency impacts;
• Consistent and standardized to the greatest extent possible but flexible enough to meet individual or regional risk assessment requirements. Globally, biosafety of air services can be guaranteed only when equal measures are implemented in accordance with common principles and recognized criteria;
• Consistent with health best practices and supported by medical evidence;
• Evidence-based, non-discriminatory, and transparent;
• Cost-effective, proportionate and not undermining to the equal opportunity to compete;
• Effectively and clearly communicated to both the aviation community and the general public;
• Consistent with international aviation and public health standards, recommendations, and requirements.
